He has a familiar sound but you can't really pinpoint exactly who he sounds like. I'm hearing Prince, a little D'Angelo and somebody else I can't quite put my finger on ...
But I don't like to compare artists, but when I hear a similarity I will definitely point it out. This Roc Nation artist can sing and that's the bottom line. They way he runs the notes all over the place is just ridiculous and he has a pretty decent range too.
Dixson actually isn't new to the game though, he's been out here as a singer, songwriter and producer. He's solid.
