Sign Marking Emmett Till's Murder On Display at Smithsonian

The sign that is filled with bullet holes that marks the spot where Emmett Till was found dead in Mississippi is now on display at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.

When he was just 14 years old, Till was visiting family in Mississippi from Chicago and was lynched and mutilated by a group of white men because they thought he whistled at a white woman. Years later the woman recanted her story and the men never saw justice.
