Country legend Dolly Parton wants Beyonce' to sing one of her songs and I can understand why. If you didn't know, Dolly wrote the song "I Will Always Love You" which was made famous by the great Whitney Houston. The royalties from the 1990s alone when the remake was released brought in millions to Dolly.
Now Ms. Parton is turning her eyes toward the Queen B. She says she wants Beyonce' to sing her classic, 'Jolene.'
“I think she’s fantastic and beautiful, and I love her music,” Dolly said. “I would just love to hear ‘Jolene’ done in just a big way, kind of like how Whitney did my ‘I Will Always Love You,’ just someone that can take my little songs and make them like powerhouses. That would be a marvelous day in my life if she ever does do ‘Jolene.’”
Many other celebs, from Dolly's goddaughter Miley Cyrus to pop star Kelly Clarkson to Lil Nas X have covered the song, but apparently she wants Beyonce' specifically! Man those millions would really pour in for sure because we all know what Beyonce' would do to it!
