Mary J. Blige will receive an honor that she definitely deserves after being one of Hip Hop's most notable artists for the past three decades. The Queen of Hip Hop Soul will receive the Icon Award at this year's Billboard Music Awards. The award "recognizes outstanding artists who have achieved excellence on the Billboard Charts and have made an indelible mark on music."
The awards show airs May 15th on NBC.
