Dr. Fauci says that the U.S. is out of the pandemic phase. To me that sounds like good news, but with all these variants springing up every week it seems, I'm still going to be cautious. Not only that, I personally know of a handful of people who just contracted COVID-19 this week so it's obviously not over.
"We are certainly right now in this country out of the pandemic phase," Fauci said. "Mainly, we don’t have 900,000 new infections a day, and tens of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths. We are at a low level right now. So, if you're saying, are we out of the pandemic phase in this country, we are."
I actually think COVID-19 is going to become a virus just like the common cold, the flu and all the others. One day soon you may here, "I'm not going to make it this weekend because I have COVID" and it will be somewhat the norm. But until that time comes, I'll still mask up from time to time, keep my distance and stay caught up on rest and vitamins.
