Well they say there are only two seasons in Chicago - winter and construction season! Brace yourselves Chi City for another round of long delays because a new construction project begins on the Kennedy Expressway starting at 10 p.m.
The project will be broken down into three stages and includes rehabbing the pavement, express lanes, overhead sign structures, lighting and three dozen bridges, and is expected to last through 2025, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Welp, here we go again! Just when we started getting used to the flow after the many years of work on the Jane Byrne Interchange. Just keep your radios on V103 while you're sitting in traffic and you'll be all good!
