Former V-103 DJ Guy Brody died of an aggressive type brain cancer that claimed his life Monday August 5th at a Atlanta area hospital. Brody hosted Chicago's Golden Groves on 102.7 in the early 1980's Guy Brody held on air jobs in Chicago at WVON and 102.7 in the late 70's and early 80's
Brody was well traveled in radio working in Los Angeles, Baltimore, Dallas and syndicated on ABC Radio and finally with his own self-syndicated Guy Brody Morning Show online.
Brody made national headlines when the Jackson's Victory Tour by-passed Baton Rogue and New Orleans. As an act of protest Brody locked himself inside of his Baton Rouge station to protest.
Brody's son Marc said it was extremely difficult "to watch my father suffer" as the cancer took control of his life. Marc Broady explained how his father complained of a severe headache in late April.
