It's Winter Break... Let's Keep Your Kids BUSY!

posted by Jeanne Sparrow -

Today's the last day of school at CPS before Winter Break... so if you find the need to keep your kids busy after Santa's arrival this weekend, here are a few ideas!

Ice Skating at Millennium Park... you can get a little fresh air, exercise (i.e., tire them out so they'll take a nap!) and it's FREE!  Skate rental is $12 and they're open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well as New Year's Eve & Day.  Find info here.

Winter Wonderfest at Navy Pier... if you're not into being outside in the cold, there's lots of indoor fun at Navy Pier.  The only day they're closed is Christmas Day.  & Head there early if you have little ones so they can have fun when the crowd's not as big and all the older kids haven't gotten there yet. Admission fees are cheaper if you purchase in advance online. Get hours, tickets and info here.

It's your last chance to see Chicago Children's Choir perform with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in "Merry Merry Chicago" tonight (Friday) at 7pm and tomorrow (Saturday) at 3pm.  Community choirs and groups perform before the show and during intermission so you'll be entertained the entire time... the show is appopriate for ages 5 and up.  Find tickets and info here.

Have a merry good time!
