R&B Fans Mourn the Loss of Dennis Edwards

Award-winning vocalist Dennis Edwards has passed away here in Chicago, where he was receiving treatment.

He was the lead singer of the Temptations, replacing David Ruffin in 1968, and he later enjoyed a solo career.  He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and received a Lifetime Grammy in 2013, both with the Temptations.

His biggest solo hit, "Don't Look Any Further," lives on in hip-hop, as it was sampled in several hits from Eric B. & Rakim, 2Pac and more.

Today, February 3rd, would’ve been his 75th birthday.

Read these tributes from Rolling Stone Magazine and the New York Times... while you enjoy his classic video with Siedah Garrett below.

Rest well, Dennis and thank you for sharing your voice with us.
