The project has drawn protests, objections and passionate responses, but now it’s another step closer to becoming a reality.
According to the Associated Press, earlier this week, the Chicago Plan Commission unanimously approved the proposal to build Obama’s presidential library in Jackson Park on the South Side.
Despite concerns over how the center will change the neighborhood for current residents… the $500 million-dollar project is expected to bring jobs and even more development to the area.
