As we enjoy our three-day weekend, I hope we all find time to take a moment to remember why we have this holiday… to honor those brave souls who died while serving in our country’s armed forces.
You can honor their memory at Memorial Day parades and ceremonies all over the Chicago area… the city had its big parade and wreath laying on Saturday, but many area suburbs are celebrating today with most celebrations starting around 10 or 11am. Check out parades this morning in Beverly, Homewood, Lincolnwood, Naperville, Matteson and South Holland.
