What's Happening This Weekend (6/9/18)

posted by Jeanne Sparrow -

Lots to do this weekend in Chicago… and some of it is FREE-99!

Chicago Blues Festival is this weekend and it’s free to attend in Millennium Park, running through tomorrow. Tonight (Saturday), catch the Little Walter Tribute with Billy Branch and tomorrow (Sunday), Mavis Staples closes out the festival.

The stars of my favorite late-night show Desus & Mero on Viceland are in town for a live show tonight at the Chicago Theater.  If you've never seen their show, read this and check them out on Viceland... or just get your tickets & check them out in person tonight!

Anita Baker appears tomorrow night (Sunday) at Ravinia at 7:30pm… it’s a sold out show but you may want to try calling the box office on the day of the show for tickets that are turned in at the last minute.

Whatever you decide, have fun… and don’t let me EVER hear you say you don’t have anything to do!

So far, so good at the 2018 #ChicagoBluesFestival! There is a TON going on and much more to come throughout the weekend. Make it down to @millennium_park ASAP for the 5pm #DelmarkRecords and Bob Koester 65th Anniversary Day Celebration playing FREE #ChicagoBlues to 930p tonite and 11a-930p Sat & Sun! 🎸🥁🎹🎵🎶
