If you need any extra motivation to toast with a little bubbly and indulge tonight, here are a few health reminders you need to hear:
- Champagne is good for your brain! A study from 2013 reports that 1 to 3 glasses of bubbly per week help to delay the onset of brain disorders like dementia and memory loss. (I think it’s probably ok to try and catch up in one night if you’re behind on your intake!)
- Chocolate makes us smarter! Harvard researchers say that hot cocoa boosts the blood supply to the brain and increases memory plus chocolate in general reduces your blood pressure.
- And a Yale neuroscientist says wine tasting engages and stimulates more of your brain than other high level thinking activities like math or listening to music.
