We all know that we should keep an eye out when we’re traveling… and if you’re like one teacher in Georgia, keeping an eye out can pay off big!
Home economics teacher Donelan Andrews booked a girls’ trip last month and took the time to read through her entire travel insurance contract before signing it… only to discover that the insurance company had hidden something special in the fine print on page 7 – a $10,000 grand prize just for reading to the end!
The insurance company, SquareMouth, did the contest as part of their “Pays to Read” program which also awarded an additional $20,000 to charity, divided between the children’s literacy program Reading Is Fundamental and the two schools where Andrews teaches.
If this isn’t the best “I told you so” story for her students, I don’t know what is!
