According to TMZ, Eddie Murphy is currently in talks with Netflix for a series of specials... and he'll rake in a payday of around $70 million! The deal isn't done, so there's no word on when they'll be taped or go live. But I can't wait for it... it's been a looooong time since I recited all the jokes from Delirious & Raw!
And super R&B band (that started right here in Chicago!) Earth Wind & Fire are about to get a rare honor for a band... they will be recipients of the Kennedy Center Honors, an award for lifetime achievement in the arts.
Kennedy Center Chairman David M. Rubenstein said in a statement. “Earth, Wind & Fire’s hooks and grooves are the foundation of a seminal style that continues to shape our musical landscape." Billboard says they're the first R&B group and only the 4th band overall to receive the honor.
The Kennedy Center Honors taping will happen on December 7th and the special will air on CBS on December 15th.
