September 25th, Chicago is going to Washington to make our city’s voice heard.
Father Michael Pfleger is marching on our nation’s capitol with leaders and celebrities, including filmmaker Spike Lee, to advocate for stricter gun laws.
Amnesty International is among 30 organizations also expected to take part in this anti-gun march to the steps of the Capitol building.
Fr. Pfleger said to Michael Sneed in the Sun-Times yesterday:
“All we seem to care about is the right to bear arms… It is time for Americans to have their first right, their right to live! Because of the quantity of everyday shooting in Chicago and mass shootings in America, we are becoming normalized to death by guns.If that happens, America will have lost her soul.”
