In times where fear is on the upswing, it's easy to fall for something that's too good to be true.
But don't let the latest version of the okey doke have you fooled... holding your breath for 10 seconds is NOT a way to tell if you have been exposed to the coronavirus. And drinking water every 15 minutes will not keep you from getting the virus. No Japanese doctors said that... nobody from Taiwan said that was a way to prevent it and nobody from Stanford said that was the case.
According to the AP, who talked to actual doctors at actual hospitals, the only thing that breathing test might tell you is if you have a serious underlying condition with your lungs, like asthma -- that you probably already know you have.
So, still stay safe, wash your hands, protect your people who are at risk... and check, check, doublecheck everything you read especially before you post it.
& most of all... be well! xo
