Good news if you’re a SNAP recipient… according to the Chicago Defender, you’re automatically getting additional benefits for April and May due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Pritzker said he doesn’t want anyone to worry about where their next meal is coming from, especially during an emergency like this one. The Illinois Department of Human Services started rolling out the benefits this week and everyone eligible should receive them automatically on LINK cards by April 20th.
