There's good news if you’ve been waiting on your money from the government… the IRS tweeted out Saturday that they’ve deposited the first Economic Impact Payments into taxpayer accounts.
The first payments are going to those who filed tax returns for 2018 or 2019 and authorized automatic deposits. If you haven’t filed in either year, they’re encouraging you to do so in order to get your money quicker, even if you don’t usually have to file taxes.
The standard amount is $1200 per individual, $2400 per couple plus $500 per child… the amount is reduced if you make over a certain amount.
You know I checked my account… I didn’t get mine yet, either so don’t feel bad.
