A big honor this week for a Chicago music, arts and entertainment legend!
Clarence Waldron, former senior writer and editor of the classic Johnson Publication, Jet Magazine, has just received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Chicago Headline Club.
He’s received numerous other awards for his long career and dubbed “the dean of arts and entertainment journalists" by the National Association of Black Journalists.
Mr. Waldron teaches at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and has also taught at Loyola University and Columbia College.
There was a virtual event to celebrate his honor yesterday… along with his fellow Lifetime Achievement Award honoree, Jim DeRogatis and other recipients of the club’s awards recognizing excellence in journalism.
Thank you for your work and inspiration, Mr. Waldron!
& Remember to always celebrate your magic! xo
