It may be chilly and we may see some snow this weekend, but outside is opening up -- at least a little bit. Yesterday, the Governor said we’ll move into Tier 1 today if our numbers remain stable or improve, which means you will be able to eat indoors at restaurants and bars that serve food in the city and suburban Cook County. Capacity is limited to 25% or 25 people and tables of 4 or less, so call ahead to make reservations and support our local businesses if you’re able.
If you’re staying in and want to feel warm and jazzy, let the Hothouse Meets Havana concerts get you going! It’s a festival of Cuban jazz featuring musicians from Cuba and Chicago, streaming free online this weekend.
And for some family fun, the Field Museum re-opens today! They’re also continuing to offer online programming, including Sue Science Saturdays where kids can hang out with Sue the T-Rex and scientists who’ll help them explore the museum.
