Another storm is brewing this weekend… between the mayor and Chicago Public School teachers.
The teacher’s union has not reached a deal with administration on the push to return to in-school learning on Monday. If teachers don’t show up for the K-8 students who were set to come back, the mayor said some action would be taken. She left exactly what that “action” might be open to interpretation yesterday… but of course, everybody’s assuming it could lead to a teacher lockout and strike.
So many children want to be back in school and see their friends… parents are conflicted, ready for them to get out of the house while also keeping them safe.
We’ll see how it all plays out… but Mother Nature may get the last word and make it a snow day on Monday anyway.
