Outside is opening back up and the weather’s better, so get out and get some fresh air… then tonight, don’t miss D’Angelo on Verzuz. Nobody’s exactly sure what’s going to happen, because few details have been released – including if there’s even going to be an artist battle. What we do know is that tonight’s free show will feature D’Angelo & Friends and it will stream live on Verzuz’s Instagram Live and Apple Music at 8pm CT from Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater.
Ballet Chicago & Merit School of Music have teamed up to celebrate Black voices in music, spoken word and dance… their free performance tonight at 7pm features black dancers performing to music from black composers and musicians like Duke Ellington and Herbie Hancock along with the words of Maya Angelou.
And on Tuesday, please join me as I talk with proud Chicagoan and former President and CEO of the United States Tennis Association, Katrina Adams about her new book “Own the Arena” for Barbara’s Bookstores. We’re diving into the stories and advice she’s got for us to own whatever we’re doing, our way.
Whatever you choose, have fun and don’t let me EVER hear you say you don’t have anything to do!
