As we ended a full year of COVID 19 quarantine restrictions, Monday will bring the opportunity for more Illinois residents to get vaccinated.
Illinois is entering stage 1C, expanding availability to more essential workers and anyone over 16 with an underlying condition. Governor Pritzker went further and authorized local officials to vaccinate anyone over 16 at their discretion… all out of concern over an uptick in positive tests, especially in young people.
That rise in the infection rate is halting reopening plans for indoor activities but restrictions have been loosened for outdoor activities like outdoor dining, social events, performance venues and exercise.
