Vaccine requirements are becoming more and more common as the COVID Delta variant continues to spread, pushing hospitals to the max again and increasing death rates.
CPS announced yesterday that all teachers and staff need to be vaccinated by October 15th to continue coming to work and the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce encouraged area businesses to require vaccination for employees returning to offices. There are medical and religious exemptions in both recommendations.
But if you want to get out and socialize, vaccination may be your first ticket in. A growing list of Chicago area live music venues and bars have instituted vaccination policies for entry, stressing how important it is for them to stay open safely, as many of them would not survive another shutdown.
On the upside, Lollapalooza wasn’t the superspreader event many thought it would be with about 203 cases tied to the 4 day music festival that brought almost a half million people together in Grant Park.
Stay safe and be well, family!
