One of Chicagoâs own finally got a much deserved, big time accolade⊠the Chi-Lites received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week! (check out more photos below!)
Marshall Thompson, the sole remaining member of the 70âs soul group, was excited by the honor which was announced last year⊠from an effort spearheaded by Paul Tarnopol, son of the founder of Brunswick Records, the label that released most of the Chi-Litesâ work over the years, including âHave You Seen Herâ and âOh Girl.â
The Chi-Lites have continued to see success performing across the country and around the world and with samples of their hits being used in songs like Beyonce & Jay-Zâs âCrazy in Love,â as well as in commercials and on tv shows like âThe Sopranosâ and âOzark.â
Hereâs to Eugene Record, Richard Squirrel Lester, Creadel Red Jones and all the members whoâve been loved throughout the years.
& Remember to always celebrate your magic! Xo
