Congratulations to Sharon Bowen who has been named board chair of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), becoming the first Black woman to take on that prominent role.
Bowen was a commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission overseeing futures markets and is well-known in that world as one of the nation’s top finance and securities lawyers.
In 2010, President Barack Obama named her vice-chair of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation, the governing body that regulates U.S. broker-dealers.
That’s some epic black girl money magic right there… let it serve as an inspiration for whatever goals you want to achieve!
& Remember to celebrate your magic!
