With our area seeing the highest levels of COVID-19 on record, some new rules are going into effect today.
All indoor venues in Chicago and Cook County will now require you to show proof of your COVID-19 vaccine to enter. This applies to everyone ages 5 and older and includes restaurants, bars, gyms, sports and entertainment areas.
The only exception is if you’ll only be inside for less than 10 minutes, like for takeout. Or if you’re in Orland Park, where their city board says they will not enforce the mandate.
And the Illinois Secretary of State offices will also be closed for in-person services until at least January 18th… if you need to renew your sticker ormake any other transactions, try to do that online if you can.
