Black People Magic: Justice KBJ Has a Nice Ring to It!

This week, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was nominated by President Biden for the U.S. Supreme Court. If confirmed, she would become the first Black Woman to sit on the Supreme Court, and at 51, she would also be the second youngest justice on the current court.

She is the daughter of a lawyer and school administrator and graduated summa cum laude from Harvard. She has worked as a law clerk, litigator and judge and is considered by many a superstar of the legal world

She said back in 2017: “When people ask me why I decided to go into the legal profession, I often tell the story of how, when I was in preschool, I would sit at the dining room table doing my homework with my father. He had all his law books stacked up, and I had all my coloring books stacked up.”

This is how we move forward. And why representation matters.

Let’s protect her at all costs because you know they’re going to attack her… & Remember to always celebrate your magic! xo
