Cheap or free high-speed internet is heading to the ‘hood!
President Biden made a deal with 20 internet providers across the country to charge only $30 or less for high-speed connections in low-income areas… which means it could be free if you’re part of the program providing federal subsidies for the service.
The president cited the importance for ALL Americans to have access to the same resources to work and learn… saying high-speed internet is not a luxury but a necessity, especially for families with school-age children.
AT&T and Comcast are among the local providers participating in the Affordable Connectivity Program.
