What’s Happening This Weekend: Festivals, Parades & Prince!


It’s a busy weekend, full of festivals, live music and fun… 

Chicago Blues Fest is going on now at Milennium Park… the largest free blues festival in the world continues today and tomorrow, starting at noon both days.

Hyde Park Summer Fest is back this weekend on the Midway Plaisance at 59th and Ellis, starring Ashanti, Lupe Fiasco, Busta Rhymes and more!

The Puerto Rican Festival and Parade is this weekend… the parade is today at 2pm down Division and Western and the festival continues through tomorrow night in Humboldt Park.

Prince fans, experience an interactive trip through his music & life at Prince: The Immersive Experience on the Mag Mile! Step inside his iconic Purple Rain album cover, play music producer and take a journey through his purple universe!

Looking ahead to next week… Miki Howard performs at City Winery Tuesday and Wednesday…

And Promontory’s annual Summer Breeze Jazz concert series kicks off Wednesday with Terisa Griffin and runs through July…
