Black People Magic: It's Never Too Early or Too Late to Learn

It’s all about education in this week’s Black People Magic – showing that it doesn't matter how old or young you are, you can always learn something!

Congratulations going out to the youngest graduate of Sam Houston State University… 15 year-old Nehemiah Juniel made history at the Texas school, receiving his Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences. He’s been achieving his whole life, starting with algebra by the age of 5 and receiving his associate’s degree at 13.

And it’s never too late either… 96 year-old Violet Edwards is reported to be the fifth-oldest person in the world to receive a degree. She graduated Mercy College in New York last month with an associate’s degree and 4.0 GPA, all while beating cancer. She’s originally from Jamaica and was the the first in her village to attend high school on a full scholarship but didn't have money to pursue a higher education… but Ms. Violet made sure her daughter did and she became a doctor. Now, she finally got her turn!

& Remember to always celebrate your magic! xo
