Taylor Swift is in town for 3 sold out concerts at Soldier Field so there will be crowds along the lake… but don’t let it stop you from checking out the Chicago Gospel Music Festival today from noon to 9pm in Millennium Park, featuring Grammy award winners Karen Clark Sheard and Tye Tribbett. It’s all free!
The oldest juried art fair in the Midwest, the 57th Street Art Fair in Hyde Park, is today and tomorrow. It’s free and you’ll find it along 57th Street between Woodlawn and Kenwood Avenues and on Kimbark between 56th and 57th Streets.
A couple of “wild and craaazy guys,” comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short take over the Chicago Theater tomorrow night at 7 pm.
Lyfe Jennings celebrates his birthday at two City Winery Chicago shows tomorrow and Monday… tickets are almost sold out.
And plan ahead for next Saturday’s “Memoirs of Jazz in the Alley”… it’s a world premiere from South Chicago Dance Theatre accompanied by Isaiah Collier & The Chosen Few in one performance only at the Auditorium Theatre.
