Let’s get into all the summer fun this weekend, here’s what’s happening:
Beyoncé takes over Chicago with her sold out shows at Soldier Field this weekend with the Renaissance World Tour... gates open at 5pm, show starts at 8 pm. There's no opening act, so you will get hours of the Queen Bey herself, all night long. & The Sun-Times put together a whole guide of Beyoncé-related events too!
Check out “The Wiz Walk” at Theatre Y, 3611 W. Cermak Rd. It opens today and it’s a walking remix of the movie “The Wiz,” that takes you through their building and neighborhood with street performance, poetry, song, dance, and dinner at the end. Tickets are free but donations are welcome! Register here.
ReinventAbility presents the inaugural DisFest, a free & accessible celebration of artists & performers with disabilities today from 11am-6 pm at Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington… with art, performances, workshops, dance classes, short films and more.
Chicago Human Rhythm Project celebrates their 35th anniversary with a free performance in collaboration with Natya Dance Theatre, Chicago Dance Crash, Collaborative Institute of Cultural Arts, and Ayodele Drum & Dance at Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park tomorrow at 6 pm. Looking forward to next week, Jill Scott will be at the Chicago Theater in two sold out shows on Monday & Tuesday.
Whatever you choose, have fun and don’t let me EVER hear you say you don’t have anything to do!
