“Halloweek” in Chicago kicks off today with Arts in the Dark’s Annual Halloween Parade down State Street this evening at 6pm… there’s a whole week of festivities, ending with The Upside Down Parade in Washington Park next Saturday from 12-2pm—where attendees walk the parade route down Russell Drive through a throng of performers and puppeteers. And it’s all free!
Music Box Theatre’s annual celebration of scary films is this weekend… The Music Box of Horrors is a full 24-hour marathon of films screenings, including Child's Play 3, Candyman, and all your favorites. Plus, they’re playing scary movies all month long.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is back for one weekend only at Allstate Arena November 3rd to 5th. The Greatest Show on Earth debuts new and never-before-seen aerial artistry on highwire, trapeze, bicycles, and more. Tickets are on sale now at this link.
Tickets are on sale for Deeply Rooted Dance Theater’s one-night-only performance as part of the Made in Chicago Dance Series. The Chicago-based contemporary dance company’s work is rooted in traditions of American and African-American dance and you can catch their amazing new production at the Auditorium Theater on Friday, November 3rd at 7 pm.
