We may not get a white Christmas in the Chicago area this weekend and experts say that could make holiday travel a little easier even though it will still be busy.
If you’re flying out to see family, friends or take a vacation, get to the airport early… the Chicago Department of Aviation says they’re expecting about 3.4 million total passengers to pass through O’Hare and Midway between now and January 2nd. They say the busiest days will be today, next Tuesday and New Year’s Day. And many airlines will be checking more bags to make sure flights stay on time.
If you’re driving to see your people for the holiday, AAA says about 115 million people will be on the roads between tomorrow and New Year’s Day, with the highest traffic volume days expected on tomorrow and next Thursday, December 28th. Buckle up and stay safe wherever you’re headed!
