Summer’s in full swing this first day of June… Pride Month, Black Music Month, outdoor festivals and things to do! Let’s get into it...

Chicago Gospel Music Festival is today starting at 4 pm at Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park. Live performances all evening, including the three-time Grammy award-winning Clark Sisters and it’s all free!

This weekend’s Chicago House Music Festival starts with a pre-party today at 1pm at Navy Pier and tomorrow at 10am at Millennium Park… featuring music from our favorites including the Chosen Few DJs, Farley Jack Master Funk and it’s all free!

The 57th Street Art Fair is this weekend… it’s the oldest juried craft fair in Hyde Park featuring paintings, sculptures, jewelry and ceramics with food and performances from blues and jazz acts, presented by Buddy Guy’s Legends. It’s all free!

Lyfe Jennings takes over City Winery Chicago tonight and tomorrow… all shows are waitlist only.

Celebrate a Chicago classic food tradition at Windy City Hotdog Fest, today and tomorrow from noon to 10pm each dat at Six Corners, 4000–4080 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

Looking ahead to next week:

Thursday June 6th-9th is the Chicago Blues Fest in Millennium Park and Puerto Rican Fest in Humboldt Park…

And Friday June 7th, Tank, Carl Thomas and Keri Hilson take the stage at the Chicago Theater!

Whatever you choose, have fun and don’t let me EVER hear you say you don’t have anything to do!
