Don't miss the world premiere fun of Windfall at Steppenwolf Theater through until May 31st. Written by playwright and Steppenwolf Ensemble member Tarell Alvin McCraney (who wrote the Oscar-winning Moonlight), it's set in Chicago and tells the story of how money haunts a father in his loss.
And today is Independent Bookstore Day, a national one-day party where stores across the country have special events to celebrate… here in Chicago, we do it with the Chicagoland Bookstore Crawl. Support the many locally owned bookstores in our area today!

Thursday, April 30th is International Jazz Day and Chicago is serving as the host city with an all-star global concert live from the Lyric Opera House... the concert is directed by Chicago native and International Jazz Day founder, Herbie Hancock, featuring 40 artists from Chicago and around the world, blending jazz with blues, classical, hip hop and global influences.
Next Saturday, May 2nd, The Temptations and the Four Tops are at the Hard Rock Casino in Gary.
