Memorial Day marks the kick off to summer and there’s SO much to do this weekend… let's get into the fun of summertime Chi!
Tonight, legendary hip hop artist and 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee MC Lyte and special surprise guests take over the stage at the Wind Creek Casino's Brillant Showplace in Homewood at 10:30pm. This event is FREE and early arrival is strongly suggested!
And catch more live music tomorrow night with the legendary George Clinton and Parliament at the Hollywood Casino in Joliet.
Summer brings festivals season and there are several to check out this weekend:
- The Forever Mine Music Fest at Union Park on the near West Side continues with performances today from Keyshia Cole, Kelly Rowland, Juvenile and more, then tomorrow with Mario, Monica, Shaggy, Chingy and more...
- Suenos Music Festival features the biggest acts in Latin music and returns to Grant Park today and tomorrow...
- One of the biggest neighborhood festivals, Randolph Street Market Festival is back today and tomorrow from 10am to 5pm.
Plus Navy Pier's got a lot going on this weekend and into next week!
- Tonight, Navy Pier starts its awarded free summer fireworks series with a Memorial Day weekend fireworks show starting at 10pm. Plus have fun at all their waterfront attractions with rides, restaurants, entertainment, and more. Navy Pier was recently awarded Best Place to See Fireworks by USA TODAY for the fourth year in a row.
- Then next Wednesday, May 27th, Navy Pier celebrates the 10th Anniversary of its iconic Centennial Wheel, offering $10 Centennial Wheel Rides and other 10-themed offers at attractions across the Pier, including 10% off SeaDog cruises, $10 Chicago dog, fries & beverage for the first 100 guests at America's Dog & Burger, $10 parking for the first 110 vehicles in the West Garage, and much more!
