CPS TEACHER STRIKE: 10th day that students are out of school

Today, October 30th, is the 10th day that CPS students have been out of the classroom. Negotiations will continue today, but a board will vote on whether students will now have to make up any days.

The city says they’ve agreed to give teachers a 16% pay raise over five years, spend $35 million to reduce class sizes, add 209 additional social workers and 250 additional nurses by 2023 and more. The city has actually released their full offer to the CTU.
