R. Kelly contracts COVID-19 in a federal jail in Brooklyn, New York and the recent diagnosis led a judge to grant him a two extension Tuesday on his deadline to file appeal paperwork in his federal racketeering case.
When I have to blog about R. Kelly I think of his life, his humble beginnings when he sat on the floor at Jive Records on 18th and Halsted and I watched him as he wrote songs in his elementary composition notebook and Wayne Williams giving me a tour of Jive Records with me having high hopes of a record deal.
I remembered how bad he wanted "that life" to be famous. To be rich.. And to FINALLY to have his songs played on the radio, year after year after year.. And to see his life the way it is now, it's beyond sad, SAD...
To have everything and talent, riches and fame...
His life is a reminder how grateful we should all be for the big and the little things in life, like freedom.
