How? How do you scam CHA out of $136k??
Well it seems like it's true and it happened over a span of 10 years, simply by falsifying information on official CHA documents and collecting subsidized rent, or what we call, "low income". Apparently, Catherine Brown she was the joint owner of a CHA property.
Brown was charges with theft of government property over $100,000, which is punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
What's sad is there is some families that is in need of the program and its folks like Ms. Brown thats abusing it. Bond was set for Brown at $5,000.
