This story hits home because I, too, have a deep voice for a woman... The world would embrace a woman with a very feminine voice, it's almost like it's suppose to fit her body and features, it's "girl" cute and fun. When I'm short and have a "heavy" voice and it took me YEARS to embrace it. So I could understand why GloRilla is feeling the way that she does . GloRilla just came out and discussed how she was trying to sound girly:
“When I first came out rapping, I was trying to sound like a little girl. I was saying some hard s**t, but just in a little girly-a*s voice. It was me trying to change my sound because I have a naturally deeper voice. I was kind of embarrassed, because I wanted to sound like a girl.”
Embrace it Glo! It's what got the the record deal....
