Ahead of the verdict coming down in the Derek Chauvin murder trial for killing George Floyd, about 125 members of the National Guard will be coming to Chicago Tuesday.
The members are said to be coming on a limited mission to "help manage street closures" and I sincerely hope that is all they will be needed for. Chicago and other cities across the nation are preparing for civil unrest pending the outcome of the trial. Some businesses have gone as far as boarding up.
Let's hope the verdict is what it is expected to be.
