Friday will be day three for no school for Chicago Public School students. This struggle between Mayor Lightfoot and the Chicago Teachers Union has been going on for some time.
The mayor says schools are safe, but many teachers and the CTU think otherwise. I'm really hoping for an effective solution to get our students in a safe environment where they can learn and be social, because if this confusion continues too long our children can fail -- literally in some cases.
