After three weeks of being closed due to the COVID-19 surge, driver services facilities will reopen today. Masks and social distancing will still be required and the deadline has been extended to March 31 for expired driver's licenses and IL state ID cards.
But just because you get that extra time doesn't mean you should wait that long. As you know the DMV can be very busy at times and you just don't want your IDs to expire because you waited to the last minute.
