Basketball legend Michael Jordan just can't sell his north suburban home. The Highland Park mansion has been on the market for 10 years now and that is not adding up. I can tell you what is adding up though, all the money he wants for it. Back in 2012 it was listed at $29 million which was ridiculous back then.
Unfortunately now the home is listed for almost half of that, at just $15 million. The home has nine bedrooms, 15 full bathrooms, a regulation-sized basketball gym (of course) a pool, cigar room and more. Maybe the house is too big? Maybe it's too "MJ-branded?" Maybe people just don't like it or don't want to live where the greatest basketball player in the world once lived?
No matter what the reason why a home can't sell after 10 years, I think maybe it's time to turn it into a youth home or a building that can serve the community in some capacity, if possible. Just a thought.
