There is a new program offered to Chicago residents that will hopefully not only protect their homes, but the neighborhood too. The program will reimburse Chicagoans up to $1,020 for security cameras.
It's called the Home and Business Protection Program, and according to Mayor Lightfoot anybody who operates a business in the city, or owns or leases a vehicle registered to a primary address within the city limits will receive reimbursement from the City to cover the costs of private security devices to protect their property and feel safe.
If you submit an application you will be reimbursed 90 days after it is approved. For more information, visit Chicago.gov/HBPP.
