Come on now, we all had those Ebony and Jet magazines laying on the coffee table in the front room, or on the kitchen countertop, or on the nightstand in the bedroom, right? No matter where you kept yours, those publications were staples in many black households and in the black community in general.
Well there is some good news here, the archives of those iconic magazines are now going to be digitized by Getty and the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC, giving us another opportunity to see the invaluable collection of photos and memories that have shaped our culture throughout the 20th century.
