Chicago Mayor-Elect Johnson Releases Plans For Swearing-In Ceremony

Chicago Mayor-Elect Brandon Johnson will officially become mayor in less than two weeks. He will be sworn in as mayor on May 15 and says he will operate a more-transparent administration than the previous administration.

The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Credit Union 1 Arena on the near west side, and Mr. Johnson will take his oath of office during the event, along with members of the Chicago City Council and citywide elected officials. If you plan on attending, ticket information will be available May 8.

Following the ceremony, there will be an open house at City Hall at 2 p.m., details on that will be released next week.
